If your thyroid hormones are normal while on medication, you should be able to conceive. herpes , by itself, would not prevent a pregnancy, unless there has been infection of the tubes . For your vaginal discharge, have a vaginal smear and a culture and sensitivity test done. This will determine the type of infection you have and the most appropriate treatment. Have your tubes tested once the infection is cleared by a hysterosalpingogram.

Sorry to hear about your IUI failure. There are many reasons- the eggs may not have been picked up by the tube. If your tubes have some adhesions around them , the chances of this would be high. Secondly, the sperm may not have been able to fertilise the egg . Even if the fertilisation did occur , there maybe failure of implantation of the fetus in the uterus. Did you form one follicle or more? The chances of IUI increase when there are more follicles. I presume the eggs were forming in the left ovary when you did the IUI.

Have an ultrasound done to rule out a fibroid or an ovarian cyst . Both these can cause excessive bleeding. Also, have a pelvic examination done .This will determine whether you have a vaginal or cervical infection. In the meantime, you can use dicynone tablets - one tablet three times a day to stop the bleeding. Also, have a Pap smear done. These changes could be due to the above causes or also if you are in the peri-menopausal state.

Are your thyroid hormones normal ? Both these conditions maybe associated with an increase in weight. You must lose weight by diet and excercising. Sometimes, one does have polycystic ovaries even with normal hormone levels. Were your FSH and LH done on day 2 of the cycle ? This gives the reliable levels. What is your testosterone level? I think you should be taking medication like clomid to help you ovulate , together with losing weight. However, clomid should be taken under strict ultrasound monitoring. You must have your urine checked- routine and culture and sensitivity ( if the routine test shows infection ) This would determine whether you have any infection and also the presence of certain crystals indicative of kidney stones. If your uterus has descended, you must see a gynec. who can advice you regarding perineal exercises to reduce the chances of it descending further.

1) Currently Im taking Norcolut to hold my period. Its been 5 days already. If I stop taking it today. How many days do I need to wait for my period to come.

2) For your information, Im very seldom taking Norcolut, about once a year if need to hold my period for a purpose of vacation. Same goes for this time, for vacation on November (need to delay the period naturally to avoid period pain). However, I would like to conceive after having period on November. But, after calculating estimate delivery date, it falls on the 2 days before wanted month. So, can I take Norcolut again to delay my period for 2 days? Will the contains effect my fetus?

The period can come within 1 to 10 days of stopping the tablet. It is different in different women. Usually, we advice at least one month's gap between taking any hormones like norcolut and conceiving. Also, your delivery date would be approximate, so I think 2 days should not matter !

Today 3 cycle is over and got the period& didn't concieve.Can I continue the same course for the next cycle(4th cycle)?

Otherwise please suggest any other medicine for pregnancy. Now I am taking Insulin(Human mixtard)30/70 and bl sugar fasting 105mg/dl,PP 131mg/dl.

I am sorry, I have to send the mail to omanaccess and your answer will be mentioned there. I presume you are on folic acid. Your blood sugar level is fine and should remain absolutely normal while you conceive. This would reduce the chances of certain abnormalities in the fetus. You can continue the same treatment , as long as your ovaries are not getting enlarged. This can be determined by ultrasound. You can discuss with your doctor regarding the use of aspirin or progesterone suppositories to prevent another miscarriage. Have you checked for anti- cardiolipin antibodies or toxoplasmosis?
