I am taking progesterone vaginal suppositories - but not signs of pregnancy yet. also I am getting a white discharge for the past 3-4 days. what does this mean to the chances of my getting pregnant. the wait of 14-16 days to take the preg test is very very tough. can you please tell me ? if this discharge means anything at this point ? thanks

You would not get a period while on progesterone. You can do a blood test- beta hcg 12 days after the IUI to know whether you are pregnant. The white discharge could be due to the peccaries or due to a fungal vaginal infection. All the best !

Are you ovulating ? This can be determined by the clear plan test. If you are not ovulating, you would require clomid tablets, which your doctor can prescribe. You should continue the glyciphage and start folic acid tablets. Have your husband's semen also checked. All the best !

I'm 29 yrs old, married in Jan'04. My husband is 35 yrs old. I'm diabetic, diagnosed in July'04. Two miscarriage happened 1st on 30/07/05 and 2nd on 24/04/06.During 1st pregnancy (after preg test +ve), I was taking insulin Novomix and blood sugar level (pp) was around 150.Both the pregnancy came after taking Ovofar Tab(1 tab twice for 5 days from day 3) & duphaston tab(1 tab daily for 10days from day 16)for 2 cycle. Now I'm taking Insulin Novolet(30/70) twice daily 12unit & 8 unit & again planning for pregnancy.Now BloodSugarPP105mg/dl),fasting 131mg/dl.Also My doctor prescribed Tab Ovofar(twice daily for 5days from day 3) & Tab Maintane(twice daily for 10 days from day 16).This month, after taking ovofar& maintane for 2 cycle, periods occurred in 27th days after LMP. This month I was feeling pain in my lower abdomen after 15-16 days of LMP& bleeding is of black red colored. Why this is happening? In every cycle I 'm getting this pain from around day 15 till next periods occur.Why this is happening?

Thank you for all the details regarding your blood tests. However, different labs. have different normal values. Check the normal values of each test and only send me the test results which are abnormal ( together with the range ). Pain around day 15 is due to ovulation and is absolutely normal. Continue the insulin and start folic acid tablets. Ensure that your blood sugar level is absolutely normal before you conceive.

PCOS is a syndrome characterized by irregular periods, excessive hair growth, obesity and enlarged, cystic ovaries ( PCO polycystic ovaries) and certain hormone changes. Let me know the FSH and LH hormone levels done on day 2 or 3 of the cycle. Metformin may regularize your periods. It is important, however, to check whether you are ovulating or not. This can be done by the clear plan test. If you are not ovulating, your doctor will give you clomid tablets. Careful ultrasound supervision is required to ensure that the ovaries are not getting unduly enlarged and to determine your most fertile period ( the days you require to have intercourse). Alternate day intercourse during that period is fine. Tension can affect ovulation, but I think in your case it is due to PCOS .

You can take clomid and the vitamins. However, you must do ultrasound monitoring to check when you are ovulating after taking clomid. Also, this will determine that your ovaries are not getting enlarged due to the clomid.Has your husband's semen been checked and are your fallopian tubes OK ? All the best !

I have been taking ortho tricyclen for 23 days. I was unaware that it is recommended to use additional preventive methods for atleast 1 month after starting first pill cylce. i'm beginning to worry about the risk of being pregnant because I had intercourse with only the preventative pill in my system for approximately 1 week and it is now 2 and a half weeks later, i've missed like 2 or 3 pills (not used to taking daily meds yet), and am having light brown discharge. im 3 days shy of the "green pills" or "blanks" and am wondering if the brownish discharge may be a sign of pregnancy or what? also what are my risks of becoming pregnant on the pill. my husband's mother recently told my husband and I that she became pregnant with her daughter while on the pill. of course this was atleast 13 or 14 years ago, but does that increase my pregnancy risk or what?

The discharge could be due to forgetting some pills. Since you have forgotten some pills and did not use other preventive measures, there is a chance of pregnancy. Do a urine test 15 days after the last intercourse or around 7 days after stopping the last tablet.

4. Last month doc. kept me on pure fsh injection with high dose.it started with baseline ultrasound than from third day 225iu pure fsh,5th day 225iu pure fsh than on 7th day ,8th 9th 10th 12th day 300iu .after that my follicle size was increased upto above 18mm but I didnt conceived.
5. My husbands is not having any kind of problem.
6. I would like to know whether I should go for the same tratment or go for drilling(laproscopy).
7. My doc. has asked me to have test fot tb and fallopian tube test.

Be patient ! The fact that you have ovulated with the injection is good news. Continue the metformin . Is your prolactin level still high? The dose of carbegolin will be determined by that. You have not mentioned whether your tubes have been checked . If not, have a hysterosalpingography done to determine that. You do not need ovarian drilling. Try IUI ( intrauterine insemination ) together with ovulation induction with fsh and you should conceive . All the best ! .

There can be some water retention due to the implant causing the breast pain.. However it is usually mild.Have your breasts examined by a doctor to ensure that there is no other reason for the swelling.

LH surge may not always be accurate. You probably know that you cannot use this when you are using certain ovulation inducing drugs or certain antibiotics as it may interfere with the test. You have mentioned clear blue test. I presume you have used the clear plan test. Was the test strongly positive for 5 days ? I suggest you do ultrasound monitoring to check the size of the follicles to know exactly when you are ovulating.

All these symptoms can occur even if you have ovulated , but not pregnant. These are due to the hormone changes associated with ovulation. You can do a blood test- beta hcg to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.

October 7 was the fourth day of your period, so it is unlikely that you could get pregnant on that day. However, if the period on 4th was scanty or delayed, there is a possibility of you being pregnant from the previous cycle. Do a urine test or a blood test- beta hcg to determine that.

Your questions go to the omanaccess site and then come to me, so you must have probably solved your problem. I usually recommend starting it one week before the expected period. You may get acne, but unlikely to get facial hair with a short course of primolut.

You can get pregnant even with PCO( as long as your FSH hormone is normal. You may not ovulate and would medication for that. However, do blood tests- FSH and LH on day 3 of the cycle and let me know, so I can advice you further.

Spotting is a common problem while on the depo. However, pain is not normal, so have an ultrasound done to rule out the presence of a fibroid or an ovarian cyst. You should do a clear plan test to determine when you are ovulating. Since you have delayed cycles, you might be ovulating late - around the 20th or 23rd day of the cycle, instead of the 15th day. So, start doing the clear plan only around the 18th day of the cycle. If you find you are not ovulating, you might need clomid tablets, for which you will have to be monitored by your doctor.

There are many factors which prevent a pregnancy even if you have ovulated. Relax ! Since your reports are all normal, you should conceive. Have you checked your tubes? This can be done by a hysterosalpingography. Do not worry about the ovulation pain. However, do an ultrasound on day 4 of the cycle to ensure that you have not developed an ovarian cyst.

Has your husband been given any medication to improve the count? See an andrologist who can give some medication to him. I am sure his count will improve, as long as his serum FSH is normal. Has that been done ? Also, you can try IUI before you think of IVF.

Urinary infection, by itself, does not affect the sperm count and motility. A high prolactin does, so you should take the appropriate medication. The normal count is 50 million and the motility is 50 %. However, many doctors now consider a 20 % count as normal, as this is the minimum value required for natural conception.

An erosion does occur after a delivery, D&C , condom or IUCD use. You can use some vaginal pessaries for this. If it increases, you may require cryosurgery for it.

Around my vagina the skin is peeling badly. I have thickish white secretions and the skin hurts to the touch although it doesn't burn when I urinate and is not that itchy ( only to the touch). Use oilatum soap. Also, travocort ointment twice a day for 5 days. For the vaginal discharge, use canesten vaginal pessaries for 6 nights. If the problem persists, see a gynec.
