Regarding your future pregnancy, start taking folic acid tablets- one every day. Also, was your toxoplasmosis test done? Are your thyroid hormones normal? Was a scan done during your pregnancy and did it show a heart beat ? Once you plan to conceive, you can take certain medication from around the 22nd day of the period and during the pregnancy to avoid a miscarriage. Discuss with your obstetrician about that.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Do you have PCO? This maybe causing the irregular periods and anovulation. Are you ovulating by day 15 or 16 of the cycle? This can be determined by doing the clear plan test. Also, have you done toxoplasmosis test and have your thyroid hormones been checked? Start taking folic acid tablets. Let me know all these and I can advice you further.Some doctors , like me, give certain medication during the pregnancy to prevent another miscarriage. Polycystic ovarian disease is present in 10-20 % of women. You must have had it since adolescence , but was not detected earlier. Your irregular periods can be due to polycystic ovaries. However, if you are breast feeding, it is more likely due to that. C- section does not cause PCOD.

Sorry to hear about your pain. Do you have a fibroid in the uterus? This could cause heavy periods. Also, do not let your period delay for long. A bleeding after a delayed period is often heavy. You can take duphaston tablets on the 35th day of the period whenever it is delayed. take one tablet twice a day for 5 days. Also, if you pain persists, you should do a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis or adhesions which can cause the pain. Let me know, so I can advice you further.

Vaginal infection and PID are common with an IUD. This can occur even when the IUD has been inserted in " sterile " conditions. This is because of the thread of the IUD which allows ascending infection . If your infection does not respond to medication, it would be advisable to remove it and opt for the pill.

Have your wife's fallopian tubes been checked? What was the response to siphene? This would be known by ultrasound. Ultrasound is essential while on siphene , as this would determine when the eggs are forming and indicate the most fertile period. Insemination would help and the success rate of that is between 20-30 %. All the best!

Abdominal pain during mid- cycle is due to ovulation, but should be present only for 1-2 days. Has your ultrasound been done? Ovarian cysts,specially endometriotic cysts, can cause pain from ovulation till the time of the period. Let me know the results of the ultrasound, so I can advice you further.

PCOD occurs in 20-30 % of women and cannot be reversed. If you are ovulating , you can conceive without treatment. If you are not, you may require some medication like clomid to induce ovulation. You can do blood tests like FSH, LH and testosterone on day 3 of the cycle. Let me know the results, so I can advice you further. Relax! Millions of women with PCOD have children!

Are you breast- feeding yet? This could also be one of the reasons for irregular periods. Since this problem is persisting, have your thyroid hormones checked. If they are abnormal, take the appropriate treatment. If they are normal, you should use oral contraceptives like gracial or yasmin for 5-6 cycles. This may help to regularise your periods.

Prolactin is a hormone which is often high in many women. Has your skull x-ray or MRI been done to rule out any tumour in the brain. This can cause a high prolactin. Stress can be a reason for the increased prolactin. So, try to relax. Otherwise, you will need to monitor your prolactin level every 2-3 months and whenever it is high take dopergin tablets.

This seems like fungal infection. Use canesten vaginal pessaries- one at night for 6 nights. If the problem persists, use sporanox capsules- 2 in the morning and 2 at night. Your partner should also take the sporanox capsules at the same time. The clear discharge with blood could have been due to ovulation (if it was during the mid- cycle).

You can get pregnant even if there has not been a period as you could have had a late ovulation. Check your urine for pregnancy test ( like clear blue). If it is negative take duphaston tablets- one tablet twice a day for 5 days to get a period. Stress can cause irregular periods. However, have an ultrasound done to rule out any ovarian cyst , which can cause irregular periods.

When you say PID, do you know which specific infection it is ? How was it diagnosed? By itself, PID rarely causes any problems for the fetus. The antibiotics can be given to you keeping in mind that you are pregnant, so there should be no problem.

Relax ! You will require aspirin in the next pregnancy.The low- dose aspirin ( 75-81 mgms) is absolutely safe. Whether you require heparin or not will have to be determined by your doctor. Some of us also give cyclogest vaginal pessaries or duphaston tablets during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. All the best !

Did you start duphaston in the luteal phase of the cycle( from day 22 of the period) and then continue it throughout the 12 weeks? Relax ! Stress also can cause some cycle abnormalities. Have your thyroid hormones checked and an ultrasound done to determine if any problem in these is causing the scanty periods.

I have a healthy daughter 3 years old. My pregnancy was easy and I developed pre- Eclampsia in the end with her. 3 years later we tried for another child and again I became pregnant. Hope your pregnancy is fine. Cyclogest is safe and I think you should use it till 12 weeks of pregnancy. I would also advice you to use low- dose aspirin ( 75 or 81 mgms) till 34 weeks of pregnancy. Keep me informed about your pregnancy. All the best !

By now, you must be knowing whether the pregnancy has grown or not. Sometimes when there is a late conception , the pregnancy test will be positive , and the ultrasound will show the pregnancy later than 6 weeks. If nothing is still seen within the uterus, an ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out.

I am 17 years old and I have always had very irregular periods (since age 11). The most regular cycle I have had has been around 45 days. I have never had sex, but have had some sexual contact (although never vaginal penetration). Do a pregnancy test to confirm that you are not pregnant. The pink discharge maybe your period. Do you have PCO ( Polycystic ovaries )? This is associated with irregular periods.

You can ovulate from the left ovary, but since the left tube is blocked, you would not conceive when you ovulate from the left side. You should have an ultrasound done every month on day 11 of the period to see whether you are ovulating from the right or left ovary and plan accordingly.

You should have got a period by now. if not, do a urine test for pregnancy. If it is negative, take duphaston tablets- one tablet twice a day for 5 days to get a period. Weight gain may have been due to the Zoladex, but I do not think the wrist tenderness is related to that. See your doctor if the pain persists.

Since there is no infection and you seem to be doing so many things about it , stop worrying. Does anyone around you complain of the odour. If not, you maybe very sensitive about it , so stop worrying. You can use gynoflor vaginal pessaries once a month for 6 nights. This may help restore the normal vaginal flora and prevent further infection.

Also, ovarian enlargement is common with clomid, so an ultrasound will ensure that the ovaries are not getting enlarged. Also, what is your husband's semen report? Hi, i have pcos and my period came 4 times a year. early this year, i did a laparoscopy to remove polyps. my gynae shed the womb lining for bioscopy becos it is thick. currently i m on clomid and metformin. this round, my period 4 days earlier but is worry me becos i had brown discharges for 7 days. (no bleeding at all) the doctor put me on progynova and puregon for 3 days, metformin to be continue till the day i get pregnant and clomid during day 2 to day 6. i was wandering does metformin, clomid and puregon resulted in having brown discharge. my womb lining is very very thin. is there any food at i can take to improve the womb lining. progynova and puregon does not help

None of the drugs taken should cause brown discharge. Clomid may cause scanty periods, so if the brown discharge is only at the time of the periods, stop worrying about that. There is no food that can change the lining of the uterus. You said the womb lining was thick, so you had a d& c done and now it is very thin. Have a scan done on day 5 or 6 of the period and let me know what the thickness of the lining is at that time, so I can advice you further.

You can check whether you are ovulating or not by doing a clear plan test ( which is available in pharmacies). Have your husband's semen report done and let me know the report, together with your ovulation pattern so I an advice you further.

I am not one to like to go to doctors to much. I noticed a small knot on the inner part of my right thigh about 2months ago. I thought it was a flea or mosqeto bite or from shaving. Relax! It probably is a skin abscess (boil). Use bactroban or soframycein skin ointment twice a day for 5 days. If it does not settle, see a doctor who can determine what it is and give you antibiotics orally , if required.
