Question,

My 8 yr old daughter has developed a rash that she's had about 2 weeks now. I took her to her doctor and she was given Prednisone 20 mg and zyrtec-D 12 hour. The problem is, she has completed the meds but she still has this rash. The bumps are small and they have spread over most of her body. She hasn't eaten anything out of the ordinary and she doesn't take any meds on a daily basis. What could this be?

Answer

Without a clinical examination it is not possible to guess the diagnosis on your description alone. Do consult a dermatologist

Question,

For the past month or so I've developed very hard red bumps, like hardened peas, underneath the skin on my chin and by my nose. In one area it is re-occuring. These bumbs do not come to a head or show any exit pores for puss, etc. They are just under the skin and then eventually (after about a week or so) they go away. What are these, how can I prevent them and how can I treat them?

Answer

Your skin problem requires a detailed clinical examination. Do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

I have bumps covering the edges of my mouth and on my chin which release a foul smelling, white to yellowish colored stringy discharge when squeezed. The bumps sometimes become irritated and inflamed but this does not happen often. Is this condition serious and is it treatable? I would greatly appreciate any advice you may provide.

Answer

You are probably having folliculitis (infection of hair follicles). Get a culture and sensitivity of the discharge done and take the appropriate antibiotics after consulting a dermatologist.

Answer

You are probably having a benign skin growth called seborrhoeic keratosis or dermatosis papulosa nigra. They can be removed by electric cautery.

For your dry skin use a moisturiser immediately after bath twice a day. For the lesions around the vagina please consult your dermatologist or gynaecologist as it is not possible to guess the daignosis on your description alone. For your son also please consult a dermatologist as a proper clinical examination is required to arrive at the right diagnosis.

Question,

My lips are black. Is there any treatment for this in cosmetology?

Answer

Your lip problem requires a clinical examination to ascertain the cause for the darkness and then only a proper advice can be given. Consult a dermatologist.

Question,

My neice is 14 years old. She has had skin problems from the time of her birth. Recently she has had this condition worsen. She has been going back and forth to the Dr. now for a few weeks trying to figure out the latest issue. She has these "Blisters" on her leg. in her words,"It looks like a grouping of little blisters and when you pop one a creamy liquid comes out and before it makes the hard crusty top it has like a jell on it."
My question is probably quite obvious by now. What could this be? Herpes?

Answer

This condition is definitely not herpes. Do consult a dermatologist to ascertain the correct diagnosis and take his advice.

Question,

Hi! For the past couple of months i've been getting these pimple looking bumps on my face, and you can tell they have puss in the instead of a white head. They pop, but when they do puss comes out and then they get all red and take a couple of weeks to go away. Sometimes they get bigger. Then today i noticed a couple of them and their bumps but the skin on them is dry. Please help me get rid of these.

Answer

You are probably having acneform eruptions and this can be treated after proper clinical examination. Do consult your dermatologist.

Question,

Hi. my question is, first of all, a couple of years ago i developed a rash on my inner thighs because i wore the same pair of underwear for about a week or more(i was after all just 13) i never put any cream or anything because i figured it would go away on its' own. It never did, and there was always an itching which i would be quick to scratch, and this went on for more than 3 years before i decided to do something about it and i used lamisil for i thought i had jock itch. the cream relieved the itching and peeling somewhat but didn't completely make the problem go away so i went to the doctors' and she gave me this prescription cream that i used as directed but the red patches between my legs are still there. there is not much itching and no peeling but the skin there is a little redder than the surrounding skin due to the years of scratching away at the skin and i was wondering will the skin there ever be of normal color if i use another medication or cream, or is the discoloration there to stay?

Answer

You are probably having Intertrigo / tinea cruris of the inner upper thighs and both these conditions can be effectively treated. Do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

As long as I can remember I have had a pencil eraser sized lump on the left front side of my neck near my jaw and ear which is hard. It is just beneath my skin and feels like it is attached to the underside of my skin since it moves with my skin and doesn't feel attached to anything further inside. What is this lump and what is the lump material made up of? Also, should I have it removed?

Answer

Without examination it is difficult to guess the diagnosis of the lump below your left jaw. It could be an epidermal cyst. Do consult a dermatologist and take his/her advice.

Question,

doc, i am 35 yrs old and i have noticed that in the last 2 yrs i have some dark spots around my achilles and on the lower part of my legs like right around my ankles. I dont know what it may be and i once asked a friend and they thought it was broken capillaries..but also on my achilles it looks like i didnt wash but that is from the same spots. I have tried to scrape them with a pumice stone but it doesnt go away..i am worried it could be something else or maybe u can help me.....

Answer

You probably have a condition called Schamberg's purpura. This is a mild vasculitis of small capillaries in the ankles and the discoloration is secondary to deposition of haemosiderin pigment. It is slowly progressive and may fade in due course of time. It is quite benign and it is recalcitrant to treatment. Laser therapy ay be beneficial. If it progresses do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

I am not a good with English so hope you understand what I am saying....
I do not know what this is I am having...
I always thought I had a dandruff so I keep using a dandruff shampoos but it still flaky and itch really bad so I changed shampoos...over the pass 5 years I tried everything and some of the shampoos are Dr told me to use and some are like cost $17.00 for tiny shampoos but it still itches a little....but I see no flakes when I using them...so I thought I got rid of it and I wanted to try out new shampoo that is regullar and it smells better than medicated ones...I used regullar shampoo...the next day, my head itches like you won't believe so I scraches untill it bleed and on top of that, I see little bit of white flakes and my head smells like a wet dog...I can smell it and so is my husband tells me my head smell like a wet dog hair...
so I went back using a dandruff shampoo and itchness has gone way down and I don't notice of flakes but I am tired of dander and I am start to think that this isn't a dandruff and something else...because I tried so many danderuff shampoos over the past 5 years and it is not getting any better at all...and I wash my hair in the morning, it feels so good but later that afternoon, my head smell like a wet dogs hair and start to itches...
Please help....and tell me what is it? is this disease not danderuff? I want to feel like a woman and I want my head and hair to smell good and flake free..help..
Please
Thank you

Answer

Dandruff is multifactorial. The factors involved in dandruff include a hormone (androgen), infection (pityrosporum),
diet to some extent (more of coco containing products and fatty food), stress and of course local cleanliness. At times the exact cause is not clear. So there are so many factors to be tackled. Mild to moderate dandruff can be controlled with shampoos containig selenium sulphide and zinc or ketoconazole. Severe cases require systemic therapy with ketoconazole or itraconazole in addition to the shampoos mentioned. Besides the other triggering factors have to be looked into. Do consult a dermatologist and take the appropriate treatment.

Question,

I need a solution for skin irritation (upper lip) because every time I try to color my mustache I get Rashes, swellen, irritation, inflammation and itching. So if you please can tell me what shall I do to prevent such thing and if you can recommend any herbal mustache color that doesn't contain any chemical substances which cause the irritation.

Answer

You have developed contact allergic dermatitis to the hair dye you are using. This is mainly due to paraphenaline diamine present in almost all the dyes. Stop using the same dye in future. Before trying a newer one test the same by using it on the inner aspect of your thigh. If there is no local reacton in the next 48 hours you can try the same.

Question,

Hi, I have a question regarding a scars. Within my mustache on the left above my lip there is a scar there that is small but noticeable. I have no idea how I came to get this scar it has been there for quite some time for years I have not tried any ointment or creams to try and heal this scar. Up until recently it started to bother me in appearance so I tried a few ointments such as polysporin and a ointment that comes with the first aid kit called mecca to no avail was I able to have this scar heal. I was going to try a ointment called Mederma but I was reading it is not recommended for open cut scars. Could you recommend a ointment I could use to heal this scar.

Answer

Moderate acne usually responds to doxycycline or minicycline. If these do not work you may have to take Roaccutane after consulting a dermatologist.

Scars tend to slowly clear in due course of time. Topical contractubex can help to some extent. Microdermabrasion and laser therapy are also beneficial.

Question,

I have, within the last year or two, been getting blackheads on the back of both my legs. Sometimes there may be a cyst like knot about the size of a pea to about quarter size and then it slowly goes away. I notice that this seems to happen whenever I sit on a hard surface or the edge of something like a step. Could it be from pressure to the back of my legs or could it be related to cancer?

Answer

From your description it is difficult to guess what exactly you have. It does not appear to be cancer. Do consult a dermatologist and take the correct advice.

Question,

I am 18 years old and i cant seem to get rid off the dark coloured skin under my armpit and between my legs. I was hoping you can suggest methods of getting rid of it or reducing as i have tried scrubbing it off but cant, help!!!

Answer

Skin over the armpits and upper inner thighs can become thick and dark in overweight people and with reduction of weight the condition improves. Sometimes there may be a family history of a similar problem. Topical mild bleaching agents, topical keratolytics or topical vitamin A can help. Do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

I have a problem. I've been suffering from an unsightly bump on my chest. The bump is a keliod. I had the keliod inserted and even have radiation on it; nothing worked. What procedure that are available now that is effective and is, not a 100% guaranteed, but highly recommended by other top dermatologist, besides yourself, that is more than likely to work.

Answer

There is no cure for keloids. They can be flattenned with intralesional steroid injections and after these injections the pain and itching also subside. If they are persistent, very painful, itchy or are enlarging in size do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

i got burned on my leg about 19 years ago there is about 10Cm Circle can i use Contractubex to remove it or what else can i use , thank u

Answer

Your scar is pretty old and it is unlikely that it will clear completely. If the scar is raised contractubex may help to some extent in flattening it. If there is a keloid then you have to take intralesional steroid injections. Laser thrapy also can be of some value.

Question,

My daughter (african-american) has several dark spots left on her legs from mosquito bites. What can we use to fade these spots?

Answer

These dark spots will fade in due course of time without any treatment. A combination of 2% hydroquinone and 1% hydrocortisone cream once a day can help in clearing it early.

Question,

I`m 32 years old,and still having acne on my face.Is it useful to use Roaccutane treatment?

Answer

Treatment of acne depends on its severity and only severe acne is treated with Roaccutane. Do consult a dermatologist to find out why you are still developing acne and take his advice.

Question,

I was diagonised for hyperthyroid in July this year. My TSH reading was 16.87 on the 16th of July. I have been advised to take 200mg of Eltroxin daily on empty stomach. I have severe itching throughout my body. It is so uncontrollable and it causes red rashes. Please tell me if there is a cure to this itching problem. All the doctors i have met tell me that once the thyroid level comes to normal the itching will reduce but it is becoming more and more difficult for me to control. It is 3 months now that the itching has started and i am losing patience. Waiting for your reply
Thanking you
Warm regards

Answer

There are several causes for severe itching all over the body and hyperthyroidism is one of them. Hope your dermatologist has ruled out the other causes. Nevertheless it does take some time for the itching to subside after the cause is tackled. Change of antihistamines also can alleviate the itching.

Question,

I have puncture wounds on my face (lower cheek/chin area and under my nose above my lip from a dog bite 2 weeks ago -they are closed up (not infected - no oozing) and of course reddish looking in the healing stage - but my concern is that there are lumps under the skin at the puncture wound entrance - what the heck is that? and more importantly - will they go away on their own? Also will Vitamen E or anything else help prevent or lessen the scarring? I am a female in my late 30s
Thanks for any advice you can give me

Answer

Without examination it is difficult to guess the nature of your scars. Please consult a dermatologist and take the appropriate treatment.

Question,

I am a 37 year old male. Everytime I have gotten sick since I was a child, my skin turns red. After a few days the redness goes away. Then my wole body starts to peel. Every doctor I have asked about this, (and they have seen it), can't figure it out. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer

Erythematous skin rashes followed by exfoliation is common in viral and bacterial infections of the body and they usually clear even without treatment. Use a moisturising cream twice a day till the peeling subsides.

Question,

My 8 year old daughter went berry picking with some relatives on the weekend of sep 13. They harvested berries and apples. The consumed most of these fruits on the sunday. By sunday evening my daughter was showing a rash that can only described as little bumps. The bumps are very itchy, they have appeared on her legs and arms. They have not gone away after 7 days. I tried an anti-histamine to see if they would respond to a allergy medicine. My daughter reports that the itch went away, but the bumps are still there. They do not appear to have any colour, and are approximately 1mm in size. Could this be a response to plant toxins, an allergy, or stress? Her time at the relative's house was apparently quite stressful and the anti-histamine could have had a placeaboe affect... Please advise.

Answer

Your daughter has probably developed papular urticaria (insect bite reaction). Use a topical hydrocortisone cream twice a day for a few days and if there is no response consult a dermatologist.

Question,

i had a spot on my face but withtin the last 3 days it has got really big and has been so painfull n yelloe fluid is coming out of it what is it and how can i get rid of it?

Answer

You have probably developed a furancle ( deep follicular bacterial infection ). As it is already discharging pus and as there is only one lesion a topical antibiotic cream thrice a day for a few days should suffice for healing the condition. If it recurs do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

What would be the best treatment for acne. I don't belive that i have a severe case but i do get pimples a lot and i was wondering what would be the best medicine and the quickest without leaving scars, but at the same time leveling out my skin and its tone.

Answer

For mild acne any one of the topical antiacne preparations is enough. For moderate acne besides a topical preparation systemic tetracycline is required. Severe acne requires systemic Roaccutane.

Question,

I'VE READ ONE OF YOUR RESPONSES TO KELOIDS AND YOU STATE THAT THERE IS NO CURE FOR KELOIDS. THEN WHAT DOES ELICINA AND OR MEDERMA CREAMS/OINTMENTS DO FOR KELOIDS? THREE YEARS AGO I HAD COSMETIC SURGERY ON MY EYELIDS. ON MY LEFT EYELID YOU CAN SEE AND FEEL THE SCAR. IT BOTHERS ME LOOKING AT IT. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST I DO? YOUR RESPONSE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Answer

Topical creams have little or no effect on keloids and only intralesional steroid injections can flatten them. Do consult a dermatologist regarding the scar on your eyelid as it is still persistent and that you can feel it.

Question,

I had a couple of marks on my face 1 on my right cheek and a slightly larger 1 on the left side of my face under my left eye, which I rubbed slightly abbrasively which caused friction burn to the skin on my face however this has since healed and has left a slightly darker brownish mark/skin discolouration in its place, although my natural skin colour is slightly light brown as i am of asian orgin this is causing me some emontional distress. I have tried various oilments which all say help to fade/remove the discolouration as have not.

I would be grateful if you could advise me with some advice in getting rid/fading these marks/discolouration.

Answer

The dark patch secondary to abrasion shall clear in due course of time. Topical 2% hydroquinone cream once at bed time for a couple of weeks should hasten its clearance.

Question,

hello doctor..I been aeeing red bumos on my leg and my arms during the summer. These red bumps itch a lot and I can't stand them. They appear one day and the next day they are gone. Usually, it happens that if thses bumps appear on one side of my arm, or leg, they also appear on the other arm or leg. This happened to me in 6th grade, but now I'm in the 11th grade and they appeared again and usually this happens in the summer. Can you please tell me what this could be. Thank you.

Answer

As you have been getting these lesions repeatedly every summer for the past five years it is better that you consult a dermatologist and take the appropriate treatment.

Question,

I have had dandruff for many years now and I have tried many shampoos to get rid of it. The dandruff goes away for 3 days and reappears again and my hair becomes oily. IS there anything else I can do to get rid of it?

Answer

Ketoconazole shampoo is effective for dandruff. Use it twice a week for a month, then once a week for a month and later maintain with once a fortnight shampooing. If this does not work do consult a dermatologist.

Question,

Hi I use to wear any type of pierced earrings on my ear lobes. Then I went on Accutane. After the treatment was over, any time I wore pierced earrings my ear lopes became red, itched and inflammed. I have tried gold and hypoallegenic. Ten years has passed and I still can't wear earrrings. Please help! I really miss wearing earings
Thnak you

Answer

You have probably developed contact dermatitis because of the copper content in 18 to 22 carat gold. Roaccutane has nothing to do with this contact allergy. Wear only pure gold or silver or platinum ornaments in future.

Question,

Hello, I have been taking Roaccutane for a month and a week ago my hands started sweating. Is this a side effect of this medicine? Is this going to last?

Eczema is not contagious.

Question,

I have had a body ordor problem for so long. I wash up and use deordorant and it just comes right back in 3hrs or sometimes less than that. What should I do? If there is anything that you do to help me please let me know. Most of stuff that I used only lasted for alittle while. Maybe I need a cleansing from the inside. Help!!

Answer

Body odour is secondary to the bacterial action on the sweat especially in the armpits and groin and it is difficult to treat. Apart from deodorant sprays try a topical clindamycin lotion twice a day for a couple of weeks. If it works you can repeat the application whenever there is a recurence.

My 4 year old daughter has bumbs under her armpits that look like misquito bites. They have been there for about 5 weeks and she complains that her underarms hurt very bad. If you touch her under there it hurts her. What could be the problem?

Answer

Your daughter probably has folliculitis (bacterial infection of hair follicles) in her armpits and this condition responds well to topical and if severe systemic antibiotics. Do consult your family physician.

Question,

i am a black girl and i have noticed that the area on my upper inner thigh is darker. my legs also rub alot. is there any way that i can get rid of it?

Answer

Upper and inner part of the thighs is a shade darker in most of the adults. In colored and black persons the darkness is a little more obvious and there is no permanent cure for this. In over weight and obese persons the darkness is marked and this is mainly because of constant friction between the thighs. With weight reduction the darkness subsides. Topical Retin A cream once a day may help to some extent in mild to moderate cases. In severe cases you may require a combination therapy with topical Vit A, a mild bleach and a mild steroid cream. Do consult a dermatologist before starting any treatment.

I have had a knot on my scalp for a long time. The other day it started hurting I asked my boyfriend to look at it. Now it has turned into a hole. And starting to raise up into a bump again.

Question,

I am having problems with itchy bumps with redness around them. This started on my hip area, and I thought it was a bug bite, because it become fairly large, about the size of a dime, but more oval than circular I think. It was very itchy. I then started getting more, some look like chicken pox, then some are like like lines going across, and some are large like mentioned above. Spread to the front of my left hip, then a few on my stomach. Then they popped up on my right hip. Then today, on the outside of my left leg, between my ankle and knee, I noticed a huge itchy red bump, this one the size of a half-dollar, maybe even a little bigger, and not exactly circular. The swelling has gone down, but now there is a few smaller bumps on top of it filled with pus, almost like poison ivy. I also now have a few on the middle of my stomach, and I just noticed one forming under my right pec.. The bumps are like white and raised, and it is red around them, and they are very itchy. The one on my leg is very itchy, and I thought I was getting bitten by something, or had poison oak, ivy, or sumac, but they are recurring. Sometimes I wake up in the morning, and I can feel how raw they get on my hips, and when I reach to check for them, they are raised and itchy. Do you know what this is???

Answer

Without clinical examination it is not possible to guess what you have. Do consult a dermatologist.

A few weeks ago, I used undiluted Dettol on my skin (on my face), which has left my skin discoloured (a bit darker). I was wondering if there was anything I can do.

Butm they do come back and recently one has appearead on her forehead! Please any advice before I take her in will help. Thank you so much

Answer

Your daughter probably has superficial folliculitis (bacterial infection of hair follicles). If they are few a topical antibiotic preparation thrice a day for 5 to 7 days should clear the condition. Question,

I have what I believe to be corns on the little toe of each foot. They first appeared when I was about 12 and I'm 23 now. I've tried everything to make them go away but they're kind of big and I really don't thing they are corns. Each one is made of very thick and hard skin and oval shaped and almost an inch in diameter. I sometimes try and file them down but then they become sore and red. I am of a bronze complexion but they are somewhat discolored and pale looking. I have never been able to wear open toe sandals that show all of my toes because I'm too embarrassed. Is there anything I can use to get rid of these ugly things?

Answer

You have thick callosities on your little toes and this is secondary to chronic friction due to ill fitting and tight shoes. Use broader shoes so that there is no friction and the condition clears without any treatment. You can use a topical 6% salicylic acid preparation twice a day for a few days to hasten the process.

Lately I have been having this persistent problem with ringworms. I have no pets and I take showers constantly from working out. I have been using Lamisil and have been taking it as prescribed but 3 weeks later the problem still exists and so does the scarring. Since using it, the infection has also been spreading to other parts of my body. I have not been scratching and wash my hands. What is the best approach for annoying ringworms? Also, if the medication says use once a day for 1 week, should it still appear or is it just healing? Please help I have them popping up everywhere like chicken pox. Thank You for your help.

Question,

From the looks of it I must have very sensitive skin. I have 2 very embarrassing problems. The first one is that I continuously have back and chest breakouts and blackheads. This is year round. I have tried a few topical creams and retin A. None have worked. My other problem is that my skin is severely sensitive in my pubic area. I have coarse hair and shaving causes all kinds of problems. My skin gets inflamed and blackheads appear. When the hair grows back it is very itchy. The blackheads and irritation never goes away completely. I don't even shave often. All this breaking out is leaving scarring. Is there anything to lessen the hair growth? What would you suggest for this problem and for the scarring? I am so embarrassed to wear a bikini and to undress around others. Please help

Answer

On your back you are probably having acneform eruptions and for this take a course of systemic doxycycline and topical clindamycin lotion. For the problem on your pubic region (pseudofolliculitis), avoid shaving in that area and if you have to, do so along the direction of hair growth and never in the opposite direction. Topical Retin A cream may help. If this does not help consult a dermatologist.

Question,

Hi, im an 18 year-old male who has recently discovered a bump(lump) under the skin on the left side of my neck. I went to webmd and discovered it may be several things, the two most plausible answers i came up with were either swollen glands or lipoma. After all, its small, felt under the skin, movable, soft and rubbery, doesn't hurt and i might have possibly had this for a while without knowing it. From my findings im pretty sure it shouldn't be concerous since most lumps aren't. Still, i suffer from anxiety(bipolar) and am really afraid of a problem of this nature. Should i see a doctor to get it romoved(since its suppost to grow slowly) or should i ignore it? Please help..

Answer

Any swelling in the neck should not be neglected. Consult a physician at the earliest.

Acne on the back is likely to be chronic and fades after many years. It usually gets exagerated during stressful periods. About a year and a half ago i got these pimples looking things on my thing. They really look like pimples so i don't know if it is herpes or not. When i go to squeeze them, they pop just like a pimple and they are on the bottom of my thing. I have done some things that i am not proud of that i can't discuss and mabye u can guess them but i really need to know if it is herpes or not, They don't itch or hurt, and i am really confused about that. PLEASE PLEASE PLAESE it is really important thank you

Answer

From your description it appears that you have developed molluscum contagiosum and this is a viral infection. When this comes on the genitalia it is mostly sexually transmitted. They can be got rid of by curettage.. Do consult a dermatologist. Besides get your partner examined for evidence of the same. Also get the relevent blood tests done for both of you. Here is a small piece of advise: "Avoid premarital and extramarital sex and if it is inevitable always use a condom".

Question,

is gentital herpes cureable, if it is what can i do to cure it, if it isn't what can i do to prevent breakouts thank you again

Answer

Genital herpes is not curable and you can not prevent breakouts. Do not panic. Genital herpes is a localised viral infection and the systemic complications are very rare. Mild to moderate recurrennces clear within a few days even without any treatment. Severe recurrent episodes respond well to a course of systemic acyclovir or valcyclovir or famcyclovir. As the years pass by the frequency of recurrences become less and less and finally the recurrence may stop after a couple of decades.

Question,

I'm a seventy five year old male, and from time to time a small pinkish (intensely itchy) area will appear on the outside of either my left or right arm between my wrist and my elbow. I have never had it on any other part of my body.
The itch is so intense, that it wakes you up at night, and it is impossible to resist the urge to scratch it. It usually ends up as a large raw sore.
These lesions started appearing about 13 years ago. One year after I had accidentally disturbed a large wasps nest and ended up with about fifteen to twenty stings on each arm and a couple on my neck.
The itch of those wasp stings was, as I recall, just as intense as these lesions.
When the lesions first appear, it's an irregular round area, (barely visible) about 1/4 inch in diameter and starts to itch. Looking at the area with a strong magnifying glass, you can see small (pinhead size) eruptions in the skin. The area affected, becomes pinkish and feels warmer than the unaffected area of my arm. These lesions always appear in the area of my arm where I had most of the stings.
It takes weeks for the condition to clear up and usually leaves a scare, because of the scratching.
None of the over-the-counter or prescription medicines for controlling itch works, but rather seems to make it worse.
They appear mostly during the summer, especially if it's hot and humid.
Could this be a reaction to those wasp stings. If you don't think so, what do you think it might be?

Answer

You are probably having a condition called papular urticaria or a prurigo simplex. This condition responds well to topical potent steroids and systemic antihistamines. Probably this condition is secondary to the wasp stings you had earlier and it is persisting because you are not able to control the itching. Please do consult a dermatologist and take his advice.
